Northern Horizon Capital AIFM Oy is now looking to hire a Risk Manager

Your future tasks include provide proper support for the management by identifying, assessing, monitoring and mitigating relevant business, operational and regulatory risks and providing suitable and value-added analysis of those according to the requirements of AIFM Directive as a member of the Risk Management and Compliance unit. Your responsibilities include also the development of the overall risk management framework. Additional your future task includes general advice and support to our business units around the Baltic Sea. The position is located either in Helsinki, Finland with an ability to distance work from our other offices in Tallinn, Stockholm or Vilnius.

In order to succeed in this role, we expect you to…

  • Possess a degree in a suitable academic field (e.g. engineering, business school or law).
  • Have several years of experience in construction, real estate or financing preferably with a focus on risk management issues.
  • Have excellent skills in numerical analysis
  • Have a keen interest in financial markets and risk management and regulatory issues generally and the asset management industry specifically.
  • Have strong interpersonal skills and be able to work both independently and as part of a team, with evidence of success in an international and de-centralised corporate environment being a clear advantage.
  • Have excellent skills in standard Office -applications.
  • Have excellent spoken and written skills in our company language English; a command of other language(s) would be a clear advantage, but no pre-requisite.
  • Have a positive “can-do attitude”.
  • Be able to travel regularly between Helsinki and Tallinn offices
