GRESB (Global Real Estate Sustainability Benchmark) is internationally recognized as the standard for measuring sustainability performance.

In 2023, Aged Care IV participated in the GRESB assessment for the first time, achieving an impressive 4-stars rating. In this year’s assessment, the Fund achieved maintained its 4 stars. The Fund’s rating represents the second highest GRESB score in its Northern Europe, Healthcare, Senior Homes peer-group.

Aged Care IV’s asset portfolio of aged care homes and senior living was built over a relatively short period of time, and some assets are still under construction. I am very proud that we have managed to have such a strong focus on operations and on ensuring data coverage, while at the same time developing the portfolio, commented Co-Fund Manager Kasper Wehner.

“This year, we have worked very systematically with our tenants to ensure energy consumption data and energy efficiency of the assets in operation. We will continue our efforts, hoping to cross the five-star threshold in the next GRESB reporting cycle when the remaining assets under construction are completed,” added Vilma Pasanen, Head of Sustainability at Northern Horizon.
