Northern Horizon’s Healthcare II to acquire a nursing home in Liminka, a municipality next to Oulu

Northern Horizon Capital’s Healthcare II -fund has signed an agreement with Temotek Oy to acquire a nursing home in Liminka. Liminka is located 30 km south of Oulu. The building project is expected to be ready during summer 2016.

Temotek will start construction works in April. Once completed, the nursing home will include 60 service apartments intended for around the clock care for elderly people. The building project will provide approximately 50 man-years of work during construction and after completion work within the care sector for approximately 60 employees.

Healthcare II is Northern Horizon’s second fund investing in the Finnish healthcare real estate sector. Thus far the fund has signed and closed several transactions and the fund is looking to grow its portfolio even further in the coming months. Healthcare II remains open for further investors.

Northern Horizon, specialized healthcare real estate investor, has signed a deal with Danish developer Scandinavian Property Development to purchase a care home under construction in Hørsholm, Denmark. Once completed in the summer of 2025, the care home is expected to achieve DGNB Gold certification. Attendo A/S will operate the care home.
