Aged Care Social
Infrastructure Fund

Aged Care Social Infrastructure Fund is the fifth healthcare fund managed by Northern Horizon. The fund is the result of a conversion of its third healthcare fund, Nordic Aged Care Fund, into an open-ended fund.

Aged Care Social Infrastructure Fund aims to invest in modern aged care homes and other social infra properties in Sweden, Finland, Norway, and Denmark.

The seed portfolio comprises 63 high quality, fit-for-purpose care properties located in Sweden and in Finland.

The portfolio will continuously grow in all the target countries with capital from existing and new investors.

The fund is directed at institutional investors and other professional investors only.

The Fund is not involved in the provision of care. Premises are leased to private and public care operators.

Investment case

Humana Södra Växjö is an elderly care home in Växjö, Sweden, offering residential care for some 72 persons. Skanska has developed the building, and Humana operates the care home under a 15-year lease agreement.

Sustainability aspects

Aged Care Social Infrastructure Fund represents a potential for long-term capital growth the opportunity to create social value in the Nordics. As such, ESG is embedded in the investment objectives of the fund.

The fund is aligned with SFDR Article 8, and ambitious sustainability targets have been set for the properties such as net zero operational carbon by 2030.
